“Blessed are the people who know the JOYFUL SOUND! They walk, O LORD, in the light of Your countenance. All day long they are FULL OF JOY because of who you are. They praise you because you do what is right. You are the glory of our strength. By your favor YOU GIVE US VICTORY.” (Psalms 89:17)
“The joyful sound” means the sound of the trumpet calling the people of God to celebrate, to feast, and rejoice in God’s goodness.
So, the Lord tells us, “Do not sorrow, for the JOY OF THE LORD is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10) David’s prayer was, “You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is FULLNESS OF JOY; At Your right hand are PLEASURES forevermore.” (Psa. 16:11) Oh, yes Lord it is such an extreme pleasure to be in your presence and BOW DOWN before you!!!
Another very important Joyful Sound, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they FOLLOW ME.” (John 10:27) This joyful sound will lead us to, “…walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son CLEANSES US from all sin.” (1 John 1:7)
