WHEN YOU ARE TEMPTED, WILL, RUN…

“…brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers passed through the sea, all were baptized into Moses, all drank the same spiritual drinkBut with most of them God was NOT WELL PLEASEDthese things became our examples, to the intent that WE SHOULD NOT LUST AFTER EVIL THINGS as they also lusted. (1 Corin. 10:1-6) They were tempted and sinned against God. So, we are given this promise in the New Testament…

WILL, No temptation will overtake you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted BEYOND WHAT YOU ARE ABLE, but with the temptation will also make THE WAY OF ESCAPE, that you may be able to bear it. (1 Corin. 10:13) Timothy says this about temptation, O man of God, FLEE THESE THINGS and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.(1 Timothy 6:11) A great example of what to do is given us in the life of Joseph, at the age of 17, he was given a dream from God how all his family would bow down to him. His 11 brothers were working in the field but Joseph stayed with his Father, Jacob, wearing a beautiful robe of many colors. His brothers out of jealousy sold him into slavery. He ended up in Egypt as a slave in Potiphar house.

Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, bought Joseph. The LORD was with Joseph, and he was a successful manhis master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD made all he did to prosper in his hand. So it was, from the time that he had made him overseer of his house and all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptians house for Joseph’s sake.(Gen. 39:1-5) Potiphar’s wife noticed Joseph and when everyone was gone she, “…caught Joseph by his garment, saying, “Lie with me.” But he left his garment in her hand, and FLED and RAN OUTSIDE.(Gen. 39:12) Don’t hang around, FLEE, you know, RUN away…
