Our Holy God said,“…you have burdened Me with your sins, You have wearied Me with your iniquities.” (Isa. 43:24) Remember the Bible says, “…all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Rom. 3:23) We are also told, “…the wages of sin is death” (Rom. 6:23)
But then in the next verse of Isaiah, God says, “I, even I, am He who BLOTS OUT your transgressions for My own sake; And I will NOT REMEMBER YOUR SINS. PUT ME IN REMEMBRANCE; Let us contend together; State your case, that you may be acquitted.” (Isa. 43:25-26) It’s important for us to REMIND OURSELVES of God’s forgiveness, because when we go to God in prayer, the devil will try to bring all of our past failures and sins UP BEFORE US. If we entertain the thoughts the devil brings, we will begin to think, There’s no use for me to go to God; He’s not going to hear me. I’ve messed up too badly. NO, put God and yourself IN REMEMBRANCE, saying, “Yes, I’ve failed. I’ve missed it and have fallen short. But thank You, Abba Father, You said in Your Holy Word when we ask you to forgive us, You BLOT OUT our transgressions and will not remember our sins. Thank You, Father, that I can come into Your Presence as though the sin NEVER EXISTED.”
