“May God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ give you GRACE and PEACE.” (Gal. 1:3) First, how important is grace and peace? Well Peter says, “Grace and peace be MULTIPLIED TO YOU in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord…” (2 Pet. 1:2) Grace is so very important because it is the desire and the power to do God’s will, “For God is WORKING IN YOU, GIVING YOU the DESIRE and the POWER to do what pleases Him.” (Phil. 2:13)
Second, some things are more important than others “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be ADDED TO YOU.” (Matt. 6:32-33) If we seek and trust God, our daily needs will be ADDED to us, if we continue seeking and trusting God, grace and peace will be MULTIPLIED to us!!!
God has called us all to a “work” we are to be “witnesses” of the salvation miracle we have received. It won’t happen because we have food to eat, it will happen because we have “…the DESIRE and the POWER to do what pleases GOD.” And, “Then you will experience GOD’S PEACE, which EXCEEDS anything we can understand. His peace will GUARD your HEARTS and MINDS as you live in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:7)
