Have you ever blown up a balloon? We’re all unique as evidenced by our fingerprints. But our prints and DNA are not the only features individualized to each of us. New research shows that OUR BREATH, too, can be used as an unique identifying feature, thanks to the varying assemblies of DNA and internal microbes that inhabit our bodies. “All Scripture is 1GOD–BREATHED and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Tim. 3:16, 17) 1theopneustos: God breathed the Scriptures INTO EXISTENCE, and God breathed LIFE and VITALITY into the Scriptures. When we read the scriptures God breathes His life, His DNA into us so the Word CHANGES US when we read it . Both halves of this statement are taught in the Bible, and both are suggested in the word theopneustos, the first half in its ETYMOLOGY (the study of the origin of words) , the second in its MEANING The life of God is breathed into us...
Just like our DNA is in the balloon we blow up, God’s DNA is in the scripture!!! As we receive the Word into our minds and hearts we are receiving GODS DNA!!! “…the Word of God is 2LIVING and POWERFUL…” (Heb. 4:12) 2zaō: to live, to have true life. Therefore, the Scripture is SO VERY FAR from just “words” it is GOD’S BEING, HIS DNA HIS LIFE!!! The Lord inspired me with this as I was lying in bed very early this morning, also He revealed to me that there is not much interest in people for reading their Bibles these days. People are to “busy” to stop and pick up their Bibles and receive GOD’S DNA into their hearts and minds. “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will TURN THEIR EARS AWAY FROM THE TRUTH…” (2 Tim. 4:3-4)
God’s people were given these instructions about God breathed words, “And these words which shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” (Deut. 6:6-9) Why? Because these Words are, GOD’S BEING, HIS DNA HIS LIFE!!!
