“…if our gospel is hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only from people who are perishing. Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those WHO DON’T BELIEVE, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” (2 Corin. 4:3-4) When God delivered the Ten Commandments AMY, the people were so frightened that they were afraid to have God speak. They ask that Moses deliver the Law instead. “…they said to Moses, “You speak to us, and we will listen. But don’t let God speak directly to us, or WE WILL DIE!” (Exo. 20:19) Well, did the Israelites believe? “…they DID NOT BELIEVE GOD or trust Him to care for them.” (Psa. 78:22)
How can that be AMY? God showed you so many miraculous things! Jesus answered that question, “I speak what I have seen with MY Father, and you do what you have seen with YOUR father.” They answered and said to Him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham. But now you seek to kill Me, If God were your Father, YOU WOULD LOVE ME, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are NOT ABLE TO LISTEN TO MY WORD. YOU ARE OF YOUR FATHER THE DEVIL, and the desires of your father you want to do.” (John 8:38-44)
AMY, the Jews believe the Bible says Jesus will:
- Build the Third Temple (Ezekiel 37:26-28).
- Gather all Jews back to the Land of Israel (Isaiah 43:5-6).
- Usher in an era of world peace, and end all hatred, oppression, suffering and disease. As it says: “Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall man learn war anymore.” (Isaiah 2:4)
- Spread universal knowledge of the God of Israel, which will unite humanity as one. As it says: “God will be King over all the world – on that day, God will be One and His Name will be One” (Zechariah 14:9).
The Jews believed these things would all happen in their day but this Jesus, who was supposed to be the messiah, did not do these things so they rejected Him…
Jesus said, “…this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come…Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ DO NOT BELIEVE IT. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” (Matt. 24:14, 23-24)
