“Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the FIERY TRIAL which IS TO TRY YOU, as though some strange thing happened to you; BUT REJOICE to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also BE GLAD WITH EXCEEDING (extraordinary, phenomenal) JOY.” (1 Pet. 4:12-13)
In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus said, “BLESSED ARE THOSE who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. REJOICE AND BE EXCEEDINGLY GLAD (more extraordinary and phenomenal joy), for GREAT IS YOUR REWARD in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” (Matt. 5:10-12)
