“You are MY HIDING PLACE; you will PROTECT ME from trouble and SURROUND ME with songs of deliverance…Many are the woes of the wicked, but the LORD’S UNFAILING LOVE SURROUNDS THE ONE who trusts in Him. Rejoice in the LORD and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart!” (Psa. 32:7-11) You are not “A” hiding place, you are not “The” hiding place, you are “MY” hiding place. My Lord, you protect me and surround me with your DIVINE, SUPERNATURAL LOVING CARE AND PROTECTION!
Remember Daniel one of the three top leaders in the government, the two other leaders and the royal rulers under king Darius were jealous of Daniel and tried to find fault with him but Daniel lived righteously. So, they made a rule that for 30 days no one could pray to any other god but Darius! The king (who loved Daniel) was flattered and signed it, “Then these men assembled and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God…they told the king…Daniel, is ignoring you and your law. He still prays to his God THREE TIMES A DAY.” (Dan. 6:11-12) When the king heard this, “…the king was deeply troubled, and he tried to think of a way TO SAVE DANIEL. He spent the rest of the day looking for a way to get Daniel out of this predicament.” (Dan. 6:14)
So, Daniel was thrown into the lion’s den and immediately entered into GOD’S HIDING PLACE, who PROTECTED him and SURROUNDED him. The next morning the king anxiously came and called out to Daniel who said, “My God sent his angel to shut the lions’ mouths so that they WOULD NOT HURT ME, for I have been found innocent in his sight. And I have not wronged you, Your Majesty.” (Dan. 6:22) The king turned his anger toward the leaders who tricked him, “…He had them thrown into the lions’ den, along with their wives and children. The lions leaped on them and tore them apart before they even hit THE FLOOR OF THE DEN.” (Dan. 6:24) Just in case you were wondering if the lion’s were hungry or not.
THE LORD’S UNFAILING LOVE SURROUNDS THE ONE WHO TRUSTS IN HIM…(Psa. 32:7-1)
