The LORD is speaking, “Who says of Cyrus, ‘He is My shepherd, And he shall perform all My pleasure, Saying to Jerusalem, “You shall be built,” And to the temple, “Your foundation shall be laid.” (Isa. 44:28) Isaiah delivered this prophecy 210 YEARS before Cyrus reigned. “Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: All the kingdoms of the earth the LORD God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me TO BUILD HIM A HOUSE AT JERUSALEM…” (Ezra 1:2-3)
This is just one of hundreds of prophecies that has or will, come to pass just as the Lord said. So, when we see something in the Word of God, that God has spoken, we know that it will come to pass. Why? Because “…it is IMPOSSIBLE for God to lie…”(Heb. 6:18)
