“1Trust in the LORD with ALL YOUR HEART, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And HE SHALL DIRECT YOUR PATHS.” (Pro. 3:5-6) 1bâṭach: to have confidence, to be safe. It is very safe for us to have complete confidence in the Lord with everything that IS IN US. Why is that so?
- God loves us so much that “He gave up His only begotten Son” to die for us so we could be redeemed (to be release from blame) for our sins. (John 3:16)
- We have become God’s children: “…as many as received Him, to them He gave the right TO BECOME CHILDREN OF GOD…” (John 1:12) “For you are all SONS OF GOD through faith in Christ Jesus.” (Gal. 3:26) “God sent forth His Son, to redeem us, that WE MIGHT RECEIVE THE ADOPTION AS SONS.” (Gal. 4:4-6)
- Not just His sons (and daughters of course) but His heirs (inheritors), “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—HEIRS OF GOD AND JOINT HEIRS WITH CHRIST…” (Rom. 8:16-17)
- We are ambassadors of Christ, an ambassador is a respected official acting as a representative of a Kingdom. “Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ…” (2 Corin. 5:20)
Here is the thing my friends, we are in a position, because of WHO WE ARE, where we need SURE DIRECTION FROM GOD. We can get on our cell phones and find information on just about anything! So, there is a great temptation to “lean” on that information instead of trusting in the Lord. We must remember that we are adopted children of the most high God, we are His ambassadors and His inheritors.
WE MUST THEREFORE, TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL OUR HEARTS AND HE WILL DIRECT OUR PATHS…
