“…as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are SONS OF GOD. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the SPIRIT OF ADOPTION by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that WE ARE CHILDREN OF GOD, and if children, then heirs—1HEIRS OF GOD AND JOINT HEIRS WITH CHRIST, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.” (Rom. 8:14-17) 1klēronomeō: a receiver of an inheritance, a beneficiary. Remember, “Jesus came to His own, but HIS OWN DID NOT RECEIVE HIM. Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right TO BECOME CHILDREN OF GOD.” (John 1:11-12)
One of the best biblical examples of this was Moses. When Pharaoh gave the order to kill all the Jewish baby boys at their birth. Moses was born, and was such a cherished babe that his mother hid him, then she made a papyrus basket for him and coated it with tar and pitch. And placed Moses in it and put it in the Nile River. “Then Pharaoh’s daughter went down to the Nile to bathe, and she saw the basket among the reeds and sent her female slave to get it. She opened it and saw the baby. He was crying, and SHE FELT SORRY FOR HIM.” (Exo. 2:5-6) Pharaoh’s daughter took him and brought him up as HER OWN SON. She needed someone to nurse the child so the Mother of Moses was called. Moses was educated in all the wisdom of the Egyptians and was powerful in speech and action.
