Solomon got down on his knees and prayed, “LORD God, there is no God in heaven or on earth LIKE YOU, who KEEP Your COVENANT AND MERCY…” (2 Chron. 6:14-15) This verifies the promise, “God has given both His PROMISE and His OATH. These two things are unchangeable because IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD TO LIE. Therefore, we who have FLED TO HIM FOR REFUGE can have GREAT CONFIDENCE.” (Heb. 6:17-18) God wants us to have the FULL ASSURANCE OF HOPE – not a weak and flimsy hope, but a STRONG, FULL, CONFIDENT HOPE – so will not become “sluggish” or “dull” and turn from our Christian walk. God is passionate about our being His people who have an UNSHAKABLE HOPE.
