ASK, AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE…

“…God appeared to Solomon and said, ASK FOR WHATEVER YOU WANT me to give you.” Solomon answered Give me WISDOM and KNOWLEDGE, that I may lead this peopleGod said to Solomon, “Since this is your heart’s desire and you HAVE NOT ASKED for wealth, possessions or honor, but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people, therefore WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE WILL BE GIVEN YOU. And I will also give you wealth, possessions and honor, such as NO KING WHO WAS BEFORE YOU EVER HAD and none after you will have.” (2 Chron. 1:7-12) Remember, Jesus said, ASK and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For EVERYONE WHO ASKS RECEIVES; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.(Matt. 7:7-8)

Solomon was 20 years old when became King, he had very little experience and knew he needed a lot of help. So, what he asked God was very pleasing to Him, as a result God blessed Solomon with EXCEPTIONAL WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE, Not only was Solomon extremely knowledgeable but he knew how to apply that knowledge. The queen of Sheba said this about Solomon’s wisdom, “The report I heard of your wisdom is true. But I did not believe these things until I came and saw with MY OWN EYES. Indeed, not even half was told me…” (1 Kings 10:6-7)

When the queen of Sheba heard about the fame of Solomon and his relationship to the LORD, she came to Solomon and talked with him about all that she had on her mind. Solomon answered all her questions; nothing was too hard for the king to explain to her. When the queen of Sheba saw all the wisdom of Solomon and the palace he had built, the seating of his officials, the attending servants, his cupbearers, and the burnt offerings he made at the temple of the LORD, SHE WAS OVERWHELMED. (1 Kings 10:1-5) The Lord makes this promise when we are troubled, He says, He will call on me, and I WILL ANSWER HIM; I will be with him in trouble

I WILL DELIVER HIM AND HONOR HIM. WITH LONG LIFE I WILL SATISFY HIM AND SHOW HIM MY SALVATION…(Psa. 91:15-16)
