What are the qualifications? “…God has chosen the FOOLISH THINGS of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the WEAK THINGS of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty…” (1 Corin. 1:27) We need to realize that when we obey God and SPEAK THE WORD OF GOD as we are inspired by the Holy Spirit, God’s word will go out and “…shall not return to Me (God) empty, But it SHALL ACCOMPLISH WHAT I PLEASE, And IT SHALL ACHIEVE THE THING FOR WHICH I SENT IT. “For you shall go out with joy, And be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills Shall break forth into singing before you, And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.” (Isa. 55:11-12)
The Lord assures us that His Word will always accomplish what He intends for it to. When I started, about 2008, sending out these devotions I would always check to see how many people were reading and responding to them. Sometimes I would get discouraged because they were not being viewed by many people, the Lord gently reminded me that my responsibility was to write and send them and His was to steer people to them. Now I just pray, write and send, God does the rest and I have peace because I’m being obedient to the Lord.
Remember, God is always pursuing us because His love knows no limit. “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me. Even the night shall be LIGHT ABOUT ME; Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, The darkness and the light are both alike to You. I will praise You, for I AM FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.” (Psa. 139:7-12, 14)
