“Wise words satisfy like a good meal; the RIGHT WORDS BRING SATISFACTION. The tongue can bring DEATH OR LIFE…” (Prov. 18:20-21) Something very important for us to remember is, “…God created man IN HIS OWN 1IMAGE; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” (Gen. 1:27) 1tselem: The word for shadow (tsel) comes out of the word tselem. We certainly don’t look like shadows, but our shadow behaves exactly like we do. If we jump, so does our shadow; if we wave, our shadow must wave as well. It is an exact replica, a mirrored image of WHO AND WHAT WE ARE. We don’t look like it, but we BEHAVE LIKE IT.
We are talking about the POWER OF THE WORDS WE SPEAK so, being created in God’s image or shadow, we are like Him in what we speak. For example, on the 4th day God said, “Let there be lights in the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them to give light on the earth”; and it was so. Then God made TWO GREAT LIGHTS (sun and moon): the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. God set them in the heavens to rule over the day and night…And God saw that it was good. So the evening and the morning were the FOURTH DAY.” (Gen. 1:15-19)
The very instant God said, “Let there be lights…” Our Sun, the greater light, appeared, as a bright, hot ball of hydrogen and helium at the center of our solar system, 864,000 miles in diameter. 94.505 million miles away so the proper temperatures would on the earth. The sun and moon appear the same size in Earth’s sky because the sun’s diameter is about 400 times greater – but the sun is also about 400 times farther away.
Now Jesus told us, “I say to you, WHOEVER says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and DOES NOT DOUBT in his heart, but BELIEVES that THOSE THINGS HE SAYS WILL BE DONE, he will have WHATEVER HE SAYS.” (Mark 11:23) Jesus is assuring us that we also have POWER IN WHAT WE SPEAK if we DO NOT DOUBT but believe!!! We don’t see this happening because we DO NOT BELIEVE!!!
Pray with me, Lord we want to glorify you in our lives so, please help our “unbelief” be replaced with “BELIEF” IN WHAT YOU HAVE CREATED US TO DO!!!
