I’m waiting for God’s peace to come to me, like it always has whenever I escape into my quiet place of prayer. But early this morning, it felt like I was walking through deep sand. My feet felt heavy like lead, the way ahead was very sandy. HOW DO I wade through this deep sand of worry, doubts and imperfect choices? “SEEK THE LORD while He may be found, CALL UPON HIM while He is near. Let him RETURN TO THE LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are MY WAYS higher than your ways, And MY THOUGHTS than your thoughts.” (Isa. 55:6-9)
Of course, we must never forget to seek and call upon the Lord, realizing that His ways and thoughts are so much better than ours. “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give SEED to the sower And BREAD to the eater, SO SHALL MY WORD BE that goes forth from My mouth; It shall NOT RETURN TO ME VOID (empty), But it shall ACCOMPLISH what I please, And it shall PROSPER in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isa. 55:10-11) God’s wonderful, powerful word will accomplish and prosper in all that needs to be accomplish!!!
YOU WILL GO OUT IN JOY AND BE LED FORTH IN PEACE; ALL THE TREES OF THE FIELD WILL CLAP THEIR HANDS…(Isaiah 55:12)
