My awesome, Grandchildren, and Annika, Kaleigh, Kate, Gavin; whom I love and pray for every day: “Peter went up on the housetop to pray…Then he became very hungry and fell into a trance and saw heaven opened and an object like a great sheet descending to him…In it were all kinds of four-footed animals, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds…a voice came, “Rise, Peter; kill and eat.” Peter said, “Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean.” A voice spoke to him again, “What God has CLEANSED you must NOT CALL COMMON.” (Acts 10:9-15) This vision happened three times so Peter would OBEY God and go to a gentile’s (Cornelius) home, who the Lord spoke to about Peter. So he sent men to get Peter. Peter, “…said to them, “You know how unlawful it is for a Jewish man to keep company with or go to one of another nation. But God has SHOWN ME that I should NOT CALL any man common or unclean.” (Acts 10:28) Peter preached and the whole group of gentiles with Cornelius were saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Spirit, with speaking in other tongues!!
So, let’s see how Peter did with this revelation from God. Peter was ministering in Galatia and Paul said, “…when Peter had come…I WITHSTOOD HIM to his face…for before men came from James, he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he SEPARATED HIMSELF, fearing those who were of the circumcision. And the rest of the Jews also PLAYED THE HYPOCRITE WITH HIM, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy.” (Gal. 2:11-13) Sometimes we FORGET what has been revealed to us and fall back in our old nature. It seems like the desires of the old nature STILL BATTLES WITHIN US to keep us from fully going God’s way. “For if we have been united together in the likeness of Christ’s death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was CRUCIFIED WITH HIM, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be SLAVES OF SIN.” (Rom. 6:5-6) This is what we MUST do!! “…you also should consider yourselves to be DEAD TO THE POWER OF SIN and alive to God through Christ Jesus.
DO NOT LET SIN CONTROL THE WAY YOU LIVE; DO NOT GIVE IN TO SINFUL DESIRES…(Rom. 6:11-12)
Notice: […We must understand that the bible says:] “…you also should consider yourselves to be DEAD TO THE POWER OF SIN and alive to God.” !!!] That’s for you: Stephanie, Ethan, Camden, Olivia, Aidan, Landon, Kinsley, Annika, Kaleigh, Kate, Gavin…
