We are familiar with the Old Testament scripture: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, AND PRAY, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; THEN WILL I HEAR FROM HEAVEN, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14). We have this promise from Our Abba Father that IF WE PRAY; HE WILL HEAR and will heal (repair, thoroughly, make whole) our land (country, nations). Oh, how we need an overall healing in our church, our families and in our homes! As Jesus was getting ready to leave this world, He said: “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, THAT WILL I DO, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. IF YE SHALL ASK ANY THING IN MY NAME, I WILL DO IT.” (John 14:13-14). This reinforces what His Father promised in II Chronicles 7:14, so what must we do to see this happen? We must: *HUMBLE OURSELVES *PRAY *SEEK GOD’S FACE. This was Daniel’s experience: “I looked up and there before me was a man dressed in linen…His body was like topaz, his face like lightning… and his voice like the sound of a multitude…”Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and TO HUMBLE [chasten, submit] YOURSELF BEFORE YOUR GOD, YOUR WORDS WERE HEARD, and I have come in response to them. (Daniel 10:5, 6, 12) This was David’s experience, The Lord said to David: “Seek My face; my heart said to you, YOUR FACE, LORD, WILL I SEEK.” (Psalms 27:8) To “seek” something means to pursue or look for it. Seeking God’s face implies pursuing an intimate relation with Him. Paul said: “For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church… Husbands, love your wives, even as CHRIST ALSO LOVED THE CHURCH, and GAVE HIMSELF FOR IT…” (Ephesians 5:23-25)
OUR HEARTS MUST SAY TO THE LORD, THY FACE, LORD, WILL I SEEK!
