My awesome, Grandchildren, and Annika, Kaleigh, Kate, Gavin; whom I love and pray for every day: So, why were so many so interested in following Jesus? Some were there for the MIRACLES. Some were there because of His TEACHING. Jesus spoke with the authority of God, Jesus was different. Some accepted Him as the Son of God and the Messiah. They wanted to be CITIZENS OF GOD’S KINGDOM, where Jesus is King. We need to get the message out to as many as we can. Hopefully many will become disciples. Following Jesus means striving TO BE LIKE HIM. He always obeyed His Father, so that’s what WE STRIVE TO DO. To truly follow Jesus means to make Him the Boss. That’s what it means to make Jesus Master of our lives. WHERE WERE ALL THESE CROWDS WHEN JESUS WAS BEING ACCUSED???
“Meanwhile the crowds grew until THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS were milling about and stepping on one another.” (Luke 12:1) These crowds were gathered to see THE MIRACLES OF JESUS! “Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, “This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.” (Matt. 12:24) Jesus responded to their blasphemes, “…whoever CONFESSES (publicly recognizes) ME BEFORE MEN, him the Son of Man also will confess before the angels of God. But he who DENIES ME BEFORE MEN WILL BE DENIED before the angels of God. “And anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but to him who BLASPHEMES AGAINST THE HOLY SPIRIT, it WILL NOT BE FORGIVEN.” (Luke 12:8-10) BE VERY CAREFUL what you say!!!
