My awesome, Grandchildren, and Annika, Kaleigh, Kate, Gavin; whom I love and pray for every day: David asked Ahimelek and Abishai to go with him to where KING SAUL, who is trying to kill David, was sleeping! The men with David wanted to kill Saul, “David said, “the LORD will strike him, or he will die, or he will go into battle and perish. But the LORD forbid that I should lay a hand on THE LORD’S ANOINTED. Now get the spear and water jug that are near his head, and let’s go.” No one saw or knew about it, nor did anyone wake up. They were all sleeping, because THE LORD HAD PUT THEM INTO A DEEP SLEEP.” (1 Sam. 26:10-12) Saul was surrounded by his 3,000 man army and special guards were around King Saul. But you see, when we are in God’s favor as David was, “…NOTHING will be impossible with God.” (Luke 1:37) What ever needs to be done and however it needs to be done, GOD CAN AND WILL DO IT!!!
There are so many miracles in the Bible such that some are taken for granted because they are not fully highlighted. However, there are about 83 miracles recorded in the Old Testament and more than 80 found in the New Testament. I thought I’d share a few…
Remember just a few of these great miracles God performed for His people:
- God was very displeased with the evil and wickedness, So a great flood happened – (Gen. 7:17–24)
- God spoke to Moses from a “burning bush” that did not burn up – (Exodus 3:3)
- All of the Egyptians First-born children were destroyed in Egypt – (Exodus 12:29–30)
- The Red Seas water was departed and God’s people crossed on dry ground – (Exodus 14:21–23)
- There was no water, Moses struck a rock and enough water for 2 million people came out – (Exodus 17:5–8)
- The Jordan River was supernaturally divided – (Josh. 3:14–17)
- The Sun and Moon stood still so Joshua could finish the battle – (Josh. 10:12–14)
- Daniel delivered from the lion’s den – (Daniel 6:16–23)
