05-05-20 Loved One’s Devotion COMPASSION TO WAIT…

My awesome, Grandchildren, and Annika, Kaleigh, Kate, Gavin; whom I love and pray for every day: “…the LORD longs to be gracious to you; therefore HE WILL RISE UP TO SHOW YOU 1COMPASSION. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all WHO WAIT FOR HIM! (Isaiah 30:18) 1râcham: love deeply, have mercy, a sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others. This looks pretty clear cut.  The Lord WILL WAIT so that He may be gracious and all those WHO WAIT FOR HIM are blessed. Sounds like an awful lot of waiting.  In the Hebrew what Lord is doing to be gracious and what we are doing to be blessed is the word  chakah: to wait, or tarry. This is not the word Isaiah uses later in (Isaiah 40:31) where He says that “…those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength. That word for wait there is qâvâh: to bind together (perhaps by twisting). This is the word used to make rope.  It is a binding process and those who BIND THEMSELVES TO GOD will have their strength renewed. Waiting: such an act supposes a KNOWLEDGE AND REVERENCE OF GOD, confidence in Him, attendance on Him, not with the body only, in public and private, but with the soul also, and with some degree of constancy, and with PATIENCE AND QUIETNESS.

“…if we hope for what we do not yet have, we WAIT FOR IT PATIENTLY. (Rom. 8:25) In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and WAIT EXPECTANTLY.(Psa. 5:3) It seems that God allows us to experience disappointments in life to teach us that nothing else will truly satisfy or provide us with a firm foundation to stand upon. GOD’S WORD ALONE IS UNSHAKABLE. We can wait for the Lord knowing that, no matter how dark the night is, His light will break through in our lives, bringing abundant joy through a more INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST. Be still before the LORD and WAIT PATIENTLY FOR HIM; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; DO NOT FRET—it leads only to evil.(Psa. 37:7-8)

Notice: [We must understand that the bible says:] “…the LORD longs to be gracious to you. !!!That’s for you: Stephanie, Ethan, Camden, Olivia, Aidan, Landon, Kinsley, Annika, Kaleigh, Kate, Gavin…
