04-29-20 Loved One’s Devotion I AM NOT ASHAMED…

My awesome, Grandchildren, and Annika, Kaleigh, Kate, Gavin; whom I love and pray for every day: I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported ALL OVER THE WORLD I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith. That is why I am so eager to preach the gospelFor I AM NOT 1ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL, because it is THE POWER OF GOD that brings SALVATION to everyone who believes…” (Rom. 1:8,11-12,15-16) 1ashamed: feeling guilty or embarrassed about something you have done. The reason for Paul’s thankfulness FOR THE ROMANS is that their faith is proclaimed IN ALL THE WORLD. In other words, the Christians in Rome have become famous far and wide FOR BELIEVING IN JESUS. This is exactly Paul’s mission in life, given to him by Christ Himself: TO SEE BELIEF IN CHRIST SPREAD TO ALL THE NATIONS OF THE WORLD. So, it is not surprising to hear him thank God through Jesus Christ for this. In the last days Rome again becomes famous for another reason.

(Daniel 9:26-27) says, “Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be CUT OFF…” The cutting off of Messiah (a phrase that means “to destroy or kill”) obviously refers to the death of Christ. After this, we are told “the people of the prince who is to come will DESTROY THE CITY AND THE SANCTUARY.” This refers to the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple by the Romans. So, Rome is used to spread the gospel and then later used to STOP the spreading of the gospel. For now we need to unashamedly spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ for it is THE POWER OF GOD that brings SALVATION to everyone who believes…” (Rom. 1:16)

Notice: [We must understand that the bible says:] “For I AM NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL…” !!!That’s for you: Stephanie, Ethan, Camden, Olivia, Aidan, Landon, Kinsley, Annika, Kaleigh, Kate, Gavin…
