I AMY, AM DETERMINED TO FOLLOW JESUS…

What is determination: it is the act of coming to a decision or of fixing or SETTLING A PURPOSE. With that in mind consider the following scriptures, “Who is he who condemns? It is Christ WHO DIED, and furthermore IS ALSO RISEN, who is even at THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD, who also makes INTERCESSION FOR US (to come between God and us). Who shall SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF CHRIST? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: FOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE KILLED ALL DAY LONG; WE ARE ACCOUNTED AS SHEEP FOR THE SLAUGHTER.” Yet in all these things we are MORE THAN CONQUERORS through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor ANY OTHER CREATED THING, shall be able to SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Rom. 8:33-39) Prayer AMY, is to our lives what fuel is to an engine. We will not go very far in life without a healthy prayer life. Intercession is a step up from prayer. Intercession is praying God’s heart about a specific situation or standing in the gap of behalf of a person who is in need of mercy and grace. Intercession begins by finding out what God’s will is on an issue and praying that His TRUTH and His WILL would be done.  It’s pleading with God on behalf of a person or circumstance.

This is a list to guide us concerning our prayers:

  •  “Pray for those who persecute you”(Matt. 5:44)
  • “And when you pray…” – (Matt. 6:5)
  • “This, then, is how you should pray…” – (Matt 6:9)
  • “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” – (Rom. 12:12)
  • “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.” – (Eph. 6:18)
  • “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” – (Phil. 4:6)
  • “Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” – (Col. 4:2)
  • “Pray continually” – (1 Thess. 5:17)
  • “I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone …” – (1 Tim. 2:1)

I ask the Lord to take us higher to learn how to pray effectively.  May the Lord equip us to march together as ONE!  May our reading this statement stir us up to understand what God has commissioned us to do and may we ACT on His calling!
