You might ask yourself Will, Can I really “do all things through Christ?” Besides being a strong Christian, young, full of energy, and enthusiastic about life. As a result, you may have big plans and want to do great things for God. I want to encourage you to forge ahead with your plans. But Will, do it prayerfully and humbly. Remember the words of Ecclesiastes – “Whatever your hand finds to do, DO IT WITH YOUR MIGHT” (Eccl. 9:10) – the apostle Paul says– “Whatever you do in word or deed, DO ALL in the name of the Lord Jesus” (Col. 3:17). The Lord honors those who commit their works to Him and who strive for excellence in everything they do, “Commit your works to the LORD, And your thoughts will be established.” (Pro. 16:3) The Lord will not just order our steps but He will order our thoughts when we commit to Him. “Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before unknown men.” (Pro. 22:29) When the Lord helps us there is no telling what He may lead us into.
God does not want us to fail. He promises to walk with us EVERY DAY, THROUGH EVERY TRIAL. God never abandons us. How many times we read in the Bible that with God all things are possible, for only God can make the impossible become possible. Man can figure out things that are challenging and seem impossible. But only God can make WHAT IS IMPOSSIBLE BECOME POSSIBLE. Philippians 4:13 is a great verse to have at the ready every day—say it before you begin work, or go to a meeting, or do any important task, “I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST…”
Lord, thank You for this day. I know not all of the challenges and opportunities that today holds but I know that You will walk WITH ME THROUGH ALL OF THEM. Help me to have confidence that I am never truly alone, that You are always AT MY SIDE. Help me to put my trust in You. Thank You for Your help and protection. Help me to honor You today! Amen.
