“The glory of this latter temple shall be GREATER THAN THE FORMER,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘And in this place I WILL GIVE PEACE,’ says the LORD of hosts.” (Haggai 2:9) We’re talking about a new beginning with God, Will. To some of the old timers, this new temple didn’t look like much. They were comparing it with the former glory of Solomon’s Temple that they had known, and this one didn’t do it for them. So they wept while the younger men rejoiced. But God used this new beginning of restored temple worship to reestablish His people in their relationship with Him.
The first thing that the leaders, Jeshua and Zerubbabel, did when they saw the pile of rubble where the Temple once stood “…arose and BUILT THE ALTAR of the God of Israel…” (Ezra 3:2) So Will, the first thing to be established is a PLACE OF PRAYER (wherever that might be in a corner somewhere, in a restroom stall or in your bed) because God is the one who will make your journey through this training PLEASANTLY DOABLE. He will put favor in the hearts of the one’s doing the training Will. “Fear not Will, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will STRENGTHEN YOU, Yes, I will HELP YOU, I will UPHOLD YOU with My righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)
