PROVING GOD’S PERFECT WILL, WILL…

I beseech (to plead or urge) you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your body as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that YOU MAY PROVE what is that good and acceptable and PERFECT WILL OF GOD. (Romans 12:1-2) Do you hear this Will? You are being instructed to PROVE GOD’S PERFECT WILL! So Will, just how do you do this?

You must:

  1. PRESENT YOUR BODY: “…if anyone is in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION; old things have passed away; behold, ALL THINGS have become new. (2 Corin. 5:17) Will, you “…have put on the NEW MAN who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created you…” (Col. 3:10) Your faith in Christ has made you a new creation and you are being renewed day by day as you grow in Him.
  2. NOT BE CONFORMED: conformed: behaving according to socially accepted standards. Being like everyone else. The first way to be conformed to the world is to be drawn to it, to be charmed by it and TO IMITATE IT. For many, the conforming power of the world comes in a much subtler form. We become conformed by just lowering our guard, by neglecting to maintain a prayerful and watchful attitude, by failing to read and apply the Word to our life. “…gird up the loins of your mindnot conforming yourselves to the former lusts…” (1 Peter 1:13-14)
  3. BE TRANSFORMED: From the Greek metamorphoō: to be transfigured, changed in form. A change of the form of a person into a completely different person, by supernatural means. “…we allcontemplating the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory…” (2 Corin. 3:18) “…Jesus took with him Peter, James and John, and led them up a high mountain…there he was transfigured (metamorphoō) before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. (Matthew 17:1-2) This is the physical transformation, how we will be changed during the Rapture. Now, our transformation is in our spiritual man.

Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, WE SHALL BE LIKE HIM, for we shall see Him as He is. All who have this hope in Him purify themselves, just as He is pure. (1 John 3:2-3)
