IN HIM IS NO DARKNESS AT ALL…

“This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. (1 John 1:5)

Darkness: ignorance of divine things, obscurity, unclearness, physical darkness. Is it possible to be saved and walk in some darkness?

“I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide [stay or continue] in darkness.” (John 12:46)

Is walking in darkness the same as walking in the flesh (human nature)? Is the human nature in ignorance of divine things?  “…the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Corinthians 2:14)

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, contentions (arguments), jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions (disagreements), heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” (Galatians 5:19-21)

He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. But he who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes. (1 John 2:10-11)

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” (John 8:12)

WALKING IN THE LIGHT OUT OF DARKNESS BRINGS US GREAT JOY
