We, of course, realize that the Father will draw Amy through the Holy Spirit. When the Word of God is preached, the Holy Spirit will bring conviction upon Amy through God’s Word. So, we’ve got to get her to church. Jesus said, “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me DRAWS HER…” (John 6:44) The way the Holy Spirit will draw Amy, is through our prayers “…to open Amy’s eyes, in order to turn her from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that she may receive FORGIVENESS OF SINS and an INHERITANCE among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.” (Acts 26:15-18) Jesus is, “…the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive THE PROMISE OF THE ETERNAL INHERITANCE.” (Hebrews 9:15)
God is not mad at Amy! He isn’t counting her sins and holding them against her. He wants, so much, to have a personal relationship with Amy that He sent Jesus, His only Son, to shed His blood, die on the cross, and then be raised from the dead. He did all that so that Amy can be set free from the bondage of sin and the fear of death, and enter into eternal life.
