My dear brothers and sisters, of FaithLine: “So Moses’ father-in-law (Jethro) said to him, “The thing that you do IS NOT GOOD.” (Exodus 18:17)
Moses was serving as a one-man councilor for two million. Jethro asked him why he’s doing it alone…and all the people stand and wait? Moses said people come to seek God about matters…I teach them the laws of God. Jethro said, It’s not good, for you TO DO THIS ALONE You will wither away, both you and this people. Jethro suggested that Moses select able men, those that fear God, men of truth, and appoint them as mediators and judges.
Jethro told Moses “…select from all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth; and place them to be rulers of thousands, hundreds, fifties, and tens…let them judge the people…every great matter they shall bring to you, but every small matter they themselves shall judge. So it will be easier for you,
THEY WILL BEAR THE BURDEN WITH YOU…(Exodus 18:21-22) FOR WE ARE GOD’S FELLOW WORKERS…(1 Corinthians 3:9)
