My awesome, Grandchildren, and Annika, Kaleigh, Kate, Gavin; whom I love and pray for every day: Moses came to the mountain of God…the angel of the LORD appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that the bush was on fire but did not burn up. Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight—WHY THE BUSH DOES NOT BURN UP.” (Exodus 3:1-3) As Moses was wondering, “God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!” Moses said, “HERE I AM.” (Exodus 3:4) This is where the Lord explains to Moses about appearing to, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. And says, “I have come down to rescue them from the Egyptians and to bring them up into a land flowing with milk and honey…” (Exodus 3:7-8) Then the Lord told Moses, “SO NOW, GO. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.” (Exodus 3:10) After much discussion and Moses explaining how he was not equipped to do what God wanted, the Lord demonstrated to Moses, with several miracles, that he could indeed DO WHAT GOD WANTED.
Some of God’s spiritual promises are, continued forgiveness of sins, our sanctification, supplying strength and peace in trials, and preserving us to eternal life. When God made these, they were then and FOREVER UNBREAKABLE. His character doesn’t allow Him to BREAK HIS WORD. He MUST KEEP the promises He makes.
