We must ignore any excuses for not witnessing and bring loving, prayerful, earnest pressure to bear upon AMY who we would win for the Lord. Above all, we must seek the cooperation of the Holy Spirit and His convicting and converting ministry (John 16:8-11). When we realize the longing that God has in His heart for AMY to be saved this should spur us on to compel her to come home.
“Jesus went to the synagogue, as was His custom. He stood up to read, and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. Unrolling it, He found (a prophecy of Himself of course, as He was led by the Holy Spirit) the place where it is written: “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because He has anointed me to PROCLAIM (announce) GOOD NEWS to the poor. He has sent me to PROCLAIM FREEDOM for the prisoners and RECOVERY OF SIGHT for the blind, to SET FREE THE OPPRESSED, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” (Luke 4:16-19)
- Good News: the news of the coming Messiah to, “…the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matt. 5:3)
- Proclaim Freedom: from the bondage of sin, “The death Jesus died, He died to sin once for all…In the same way, count yourselves DEAD TO SIN but ALIVE TO GOD in Christ Jesus.” (Rom. 6:10-11)
- Recovery Of Sight: Jesus said the devil has, “…blinded AMY’S eyes and hardened her heart, so she can NEITHER SEE WITH HER EYES, nor understand with her heart…” (John 12:40) “The LORD OPENS THE EYES of the blind…” (Psalms 146:8)
- Set Free The Oppressed: Jesus has come to set AMY free, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. Therefore if the Son makes you free, YOU SHALL BE FREE INDEED.” (John 8:34-36)
