And another book was opened, which is THE BOOK OF LIFE. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the BOOKS.” (Rev. 20:11-12) 1biblion: a written document, a book of the works of the unrighteous. This is a book of the judgments against the unrighteous. The “dead standing before God” refers to the second resurrection of all non-believers. All those who rejected God’s plan of salvation throughout history will stand before God’s Great White Throne. These people are dead both physically and spiritually that is, eternally. Death puts everyone on the same plane, the “small and great.” Both the President and the garbage collector will face eternal damnation if they are not saved. “…anyone NOT FOUND written in the BOOK OF LIFE was cast into the lake of fire.” (Rev. 20:15) We must make sure of our salvation, if we have sinned. We must ask for forgiveness and do not do this: “…if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall TAKE AWAY HIS PART FROM THE BOOK OF LIFE, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” (Rev. 22:19)
