Moses is explaining how God delivered Israel from “bondage” and set them free to serve Him, “The Lord BROUGHT US OUT from there, that He might BRING US IN…” (Deut. 6:23) The Lord used Moses in many ways, to miraculously deliver Israel so they could look back knowing it was the hand of God. “For you are a holy people to the LORD your God; THE LORD YOUR GOD HAS CHOSEN YOU to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. The LORD did not set His love on you nor choose you BECAUSE YOU WERE MORE in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples…” (Deut. 7:6-7)
I use this illustration to express what I feel God is doing with AMY. The Lord has inspired me each morning to write something for AMY for 609 days now, WHY? Well, I don’t really know why and I don’t really know AMY, personally but as the Lord touches my heart with inspiration for our prayer purpose, I really believe He has SOMETHING SPECIAL in mind for her. Jesus said, “If you love me, keep my 1commands.” (John 14:15) 1entolē: an order that has authority. Jesus said, “A NEW commandment I give to you, that you LOVE ONE ANOTHER; AS I HAVE LOVED YOU, that you also love one another.” (John 13:34) So, you see, we are obeying this new commandment as we pray for AMY.
“If you know these things, BLESSED ARE YOU IF YOU DO THEM.” (John 13:17)
