“I will praise You with my whole heart…I will worship toward Your holy temple, And praise Your name For Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For YOU HAVE 1MAGNIFIED YOUR WORD ABOVE ALL YOUR NAME.” (Psa. 138:1-2) 1gâdal: become great or important, to make powerful. God’s name speaks of His great power and majesty, His perfect character and utter holiness. “Therefore God also has highly exalted Jesus and given Him THE NAME WHICH IS ABOVE EVERY NAME, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord…” (Phil. 2:9-11) How can the word be greater and more powerful than THE NAME OF JESUS??
“In the beginning was THE WORD, and THE WORD was WITH GOD, and THE WORD WAS GOD…THE WORD became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:1, 14) The Son of God and the Word of God ARE synonymous … “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called THE WORD OF GOD.” (Rev. 19:11-13)
THE GREATEST PASSION WE CAN HAVE IS A LOVE FOR, AND A DESIRE TO, FULLY UNDERSTAND, THEN TO LIVE THE WORD OF GOD…
