Some keys for our praying for AMY…

  1. Pray that God would send laborers into AMY’S life who would transmit the gospel in a way that is relevant to her.  It is the Word of God that will open AMY’S heart and transform her.

Jesus said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore PRAY THE LORD OF THE HARVEST TO SEND OUT LABORERS into His harvest.” (Matt. 9:37-38)

  1. Pray that the Word would reach AMY’S heart and reveal God’s love to her.  The revelation of God’s love is the most important revelation that anyone can receive.   We must Love AMY with the love of God.

I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may know AMY .(Eph. 3:14-19)

  1. Pray that the Spirit would convict AMY of her to receive the gift of righteousness.  Not a condemning conviction, but a revelation of her ‘lostness’ and that Jesus is the only answer.

“…when He [the Holy Spirit] has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me…” (John 16:8-9)

  1. Pray that the seed of the Word that already exists in AMY’S heart, will spring up and grow in her life.  Believe that the Word of God will transform AMY’S heart and mind.

Jesus said “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head. But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because THE HARVEST HAS COME.” (Mark 4:26-29)

  1. Pray that AMY will have a revelation of God’s goodness.  It is His goodness that leads us to repentance.

Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord…” (Acts 3:19)
