King Nebuchadnezzar said to Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah we probable know them as Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego. “Now if you are ready at the time you hear the sound of all kinds of music, and you fall down and worship the image…good! But if you do not worship, YOU SHALL BE CAST IMMEDIATELY into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. And WHO IS THE GOD WHO WILL DELIVER YOU from my hands?” (Daniel 3:15) We know the rest of the story, they did not bow down and in the king’s great anger he commanded the furnace to be heated seven times hotter, so hot that the men who threw them into the furnace were killed by the intense heat! Nebuchadnezzar noticed that there were four men in the furnace, dancing around, unaffected by the very intense heat!!!
And the kings leaders, “…gathered together, and they saw these men on whose bodies the fire had no power; the hair of their head was not singed nor were their garments affected, and THE SMELL OF FIRE WAS NOT ON THEM.” (Daniel 3:27) The king made a decree that any people who speaks anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego shall be cut in pieces…
BECAUSE THERE IS NO OTHER GOD WHO CAN DELIVER LIKE THIS.
