“HOLY, HOLY, HOLY IS THE LORD of hosts; The whole earth is FULL OF HIS GLORY!” (Isaiah 6:3) “For I am the LORD your God. You SHALL (not a suggestion) therefore CONSECRATE YOURSELVES, and YOU SHALL BE HOLY; FOR I AM HOLY.” (Lev. 11:44) The Lord is HOLY and the whole earth is filled up with God’s glory, He very carefully formed every living creature on this earth but He chose man to be in an intimate relationship with. He instructed us to consecrate (sanctify or separate) ourselves and BE HOLY.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that WE SHOULD BE HOLY AND WITHOUT BLAME before Him in love…” (Eph. 1:3-4) “…as He who called you is holy, you also BE HOLY in all your conduct, because it is written, “BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.” (1 Pet. 1:15-16) “…you have heard Jesus and have been taught by Him…that you PUT OFF…THE OLD MAN which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you PUT ON THE NEW MAN which was created according to God, IN TRUE RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HOLINESS.” (Eph. 4:21-24)
WHY IS THIS SO VITALLY IMPORTANT???
PURSUE…HOLINESS, WITHOUT WHICH NO ONE WILL SEE THE LORD…(Hebrews 12:14)
