I SAW THE LORD sitting on a throneAbove it stood seraphim; each one had six wingsone cried to another and said: “HOLY, HOLY, HOLY IS THE LORD OF HOSTS; The whole earth is full of His glory…So I said, “WOE IS ME, FOR I AM 1UNDONE! BECAUSE I AM A MAN OF UNCLEAN LIPS, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lipsThen one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coalAnd he touched my mouth with it, and said: “Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin purgedI heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “HERE AM I! SEND ME.” (Isaiah 6:1-8) 1dâmâh: be brought to silence. When we come into the presence of the Lord we would become overwhelmed by His holiness. As we see from the angles who CONTINUALLY CRY OUT HOLY, HOLY, HOLY.So, it’s no surprise that Isaiah is undone (brought to silence) and realizes his uncleanness. Isn’t it just wonderful what God did sending the seraphim with a live coal from the altar to touch Isaiah mouth and pronouncing him clean. As a result of this Isaiah became a great prophet of the Lord.

The Prophet Isaiah with specific clarity and great detail prophesied about the coming of the Messiah, Christ the Savior. The prophet names the Messiah as God and Man, teacher of all the nations, founder of the Kingdom of peace and love. Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the VIRGIN SHALL CONCEIVE and bear a Son, and SHALL CALL HIS NAME IMMANUEL (God with us).(Isaiah 7:14) This was of course the birth of Christ then later Isaiah prophesies of Christs horrible punishment, “…He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And BY HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED. (Isaiah 53:5)
