My dear brothers and sisters, of FaithLine: “Thanks be to God for His 1INDESCRIBABLE GIFT!” (2 Corin. 9:15) 1anekdiēgētos: There are not words in the human language that could adequately describe the wonder and supernatural aspect of God loving us so much that He allows His Son to becoming flesh. How could we as humans begin to understand God the Father sending His one and only divine, holy, completely sinless and perfect in every way, Son, to be brutally beaten and hatefully put to death on the cross?
Why did God do this, “for ALL HAVE SINNED and fall short of the glory of God…” (Rom. 3:23) We know that as a result of this, “…the wages of sin IS DEATH…” (Rom. 6:23a) We all are guilty of sin and what we have earned as a result IS DEATH! Now, this is where the “INDESCRIBABLE GIFT” comes about, because, “the gift of God is ETERNAL LIFE in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Rom. 6:23b) Concerning this gift, we’re not just forgiven, “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that WE ARE CHILDREN OF GOD, and if children, then heirs—HEIRS OF GOD AND JOINT HEIRS WITH CHRIST…” (Rom. 8:16-17)
Because we are heirs we obtain an inheritance, right! Jesus said, “In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I GO TO PREPARE A PLACE FOR YOU. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I WILL COME AGAIN AND RECEIVE YOU TO MYSELF; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” (John 14:2-4) Just in case you’re not sure of the way,
“JESUS SAID…“I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME.” (John 14:6)
