My dear brothers and sisters, of FaithLine: “When anyone hears the message and does not understand it, the devil comes and TAKES AWAY WHAT WAS SOWN in their heart.” (Matt. 13:19) How does the devil do this? “…if our gospel is hidden, IT IS HIDDEN TO THOSE WHO ARE LOST, WHOSE MINDS THE god OF THIS WORLD HAS BLINDED, who DO NOT BELIEVE, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.” (2 Corin. 4:3-4)
One of the favorite ways in which Satan operates is to get people to deny that he exists. Another way he tries to fool us is, Satan often approaches people in disguise. For example, in the Garden of Eden he came in the form of a serpent to Adam and Eve “…the serpent said to the woman, “Did God really say…“ (Gen. 3:1) Paul warned the Corinthians that the devil appears as an angel of light. “…no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.” (2 Corin. 11:14)
Satan was created by God as Lucifer, “You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you.” (Ezek. 28:15), Isaiah the prophet writes, “HOW YOU ARE FALLEN FROM HEAVEN, O Lucifer…You who weakened the nations…you have said in your heart: ‘I WILL ascend into heaven, I WILL exalt my throne above the stars of God; I WILL also sit on the mount of the congregation… I WILL ascend above the heights of the clouds, I WILL be like the Most High.’” (Isa. 14:12-14) OK then, what can we do to overcome?
Jesus said, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and OVER ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10:18-19)
SUBMIT TO GOD. RESIST THE DEVIL AND HE WILL FLEE FROM YOU. DRAW NEAR TO GOD AND HE WILL DRAW NEAR TO YOU…(James 4:7-8)
FaithLine, the bible says: “I give you the authority…OVER ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY.”
