My dear brothers and sisters, of FaithLine: “…through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you NOT TO THINK MORE HIGHLY OF HIMSELF THAN HE OUGHT TO THINK; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.” (Rom. 12:3) Remember, we are serving a wonderfully great and very mighty, extremely awesome, perfect in every way, Omniscient, Omni-present and Omnipotent God. So, our thinking of ourselves more highly that we ought to, can cause real stinking problems for us because, “God 1RESISTS THE PROUD, but HE GIVES 2GRACE TO THE HUMBLE. Therefore be humbled under the mighty hand of God…” (1 Pet. 5:5-6) 1antitassomai: range in battle against, to oppose. 2grace: I like Paul’s definition, “the desire and power to do God’s will,” “…it is God who works in you both TO WILL and TO DO for His good pleasure.” (Phil. 2:13)
When we have pride, we are opposing God and entering into battle with Him and, “It is a FEARFUL THING to fall into the hands of the living God.” (Heb. 10:31)
So, if we humble ourselves before God and receive His grace…
WE WILL HAVE THE DESIRE AND THE POWER TO DO HIS WILL…
FaithLine, the bible says: “…it is God who works in you both TO WILL and TO DO for His good pleasure.”
