My dear brothers and sisters, of FaithLine: “Since you have been raised with Christ, SEEK THOSE THINGS WHICH ARE ABOVE, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. SET YOUR MIND ON THINGS ABOVE, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.” (Col. 3:1-4) Why all this emphasis on thinking about things above? Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? YOU ARE A MIST THAT APPEARS FOR A LITTLE WHILE AND THEN VANISHES. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” (James 4:13-15)
The bible teaches us that one day with the Lord “…is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.” (2 Pet. 3:8) So, we need to change the way we think about things because, very Soon, “…the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, WHAT MANNER OF PERSONS OUGHT YOU TO BE IN HOLY CONDUCT AND GODLINESS, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?” (2 Peter 3:10-12)
IF ONE DAY IS AS A THOUSAND YEARS WE ONLY LIVE ABOUT 2.16 HOURS, A MIST, THEN WE’RE GONE.
FaithLine, the bible says: “WHAT MANNER OF PERSONS OUGHT YOU TO BE IN HOLY CONDUCT AND GODLINESS.”
