My awesome, Grandchildren, and Annika, Kaleigh, Kate, Gavin; whom I love and pray for every day: God met with Abraham (His chosen one) and promised he and his wife Sarah would have THEIR OWN CHILD, even though He was one hundred years old and Sarah was ninety nine years old and past the age of having children. “Abraham did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that WHAT GOD HAD PROMISED HE WAS ALSO ABLE TO PERFORM.” (Rom. 4:20-21)
So, Abraham received and believed this promise from God, what did he need to do?
- He had to have husband and wife relations with Sarah to fulfill the promise.
- They had to make preparations for the new baby in their life.
- The both had to pray that they could be THE GODLY PARENTS they needed to be to properly bring up this promised child.
“Then Abram fell on his face, and God TALKED with him, saying: “As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be A FATHER OF MANY NATIONS. No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations.“ (Gen. 17:3-5)
IF YOU ARE CHRIST’S, THEN YOU ARE ABRAHAM’S SEED, AND HEIRS ACCORDING TO THE PROMISE…(Gal. 3:29)
