SEEING, HEARING, NOT UNDERSTANDING…

When Paul got to Rome, he called together Jewish leaders and said to them: “I was arrested in Jerusalem and handed over to the Romans. They arranged to meet Paul on a certain day, and came in even larger numbers where he was staying. He witnessed to them FROM MORNING TILL EVENING, explaining about the kingdom of God, and from the Law of Moses and from the Prophets HE TRIED TO PERSUADE THEM ABOUT JESUS. SOME WERE CONVINCED by what Paul said, but OTHERS WOULD NOT BELIEVE. (Acts 28:16-17, 23-24)

This was Paul’s very last attempt to preach to his Jewish brothers and just a few of them believed. Paul made a final statement. He said, “The Holy Spirit was right when He spoke to your people long ago. Through Isaiah the prophet the Spirit said, “Go to your people. Say to them, “You will hear but never understand. You will see but never know what you are seeing.” (Acts 28:25-26)

What’s going to happen with the Jewish people? Romans 11:25 says:Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in…”

ALL ISRAEL WILL BE SAVED. AS IT IS WRITTEN(Rom. 11:26)
