“LORD, I cry out to You; Make haste to me! Give ear to my voice when I cry out to You. LET MY PRAYER BE SET BEFORE YOU AS 1INCENSE…” (Psa. 141:1-3) 1qtoreth: a cleansing, smoking, sweet perfume. “Aaron shall burn on the altar SWEET INCENSE every morning…” (Exo. 30:7) The purpose of this incense was to provide a SWEET SMELLING PERFUME for the temple of God.
Should we still offer incense in the temple today? “…do you not know that YOUR BODY IS THE TEMPLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT WHO IS IN YOU…” (1 Corin. 6:19) Today, we are the temple of God and His presence is in us as the Holy Spirit, and YES we are to offer incense, regularly, to God. “…the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having GOLDEN BOWLS FULL OF INCENSE, WHICH ARE THE PRAYERS OF THE SAINTS.” (Rev. 5:6-8)
I was praying one morning, “Lord, help me that my prayers WILL BE EFFECTIVE.” The Lord stopped me and directed me to look at my prayer journal, I just “happened” to turn to this entry from February 6, 2010.
“Bill, I want you to hear and understand what I am saying to you, so you can teach others. Your prayers are necessary for me to bless those you love, the more prayers you pray THE MORE BLESSINGS WILL COME. As I told you Bill, your prayers are incense going into my vial of blessings that will be poured out. I mix my grace and power with this incense and pour it out on the ones you are covering with prayer. A little incense will produce little blessings; more and more incense will produce MUCH GREATER BLESSINGS. Continue to pray! I have poured out many blessings Bill, many! Continue to give me the incense I need from you to bless your prayer family! BE FAITHFUL CONTINUE!”
THE MORE WE PRAY, THE MORE INCENSE IS PROVIDED FOR THE ANSWER OF OUR PRAYERS…
