- LOVING: When one of the religious scribes asked Jesus which commandment is MOST IMPORTANT, Jesus answered: “The MOST IMPORTANT IS, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD with ALL your heart and with ALL your soul and with ALL your mind and with ALL your strength” (Mark 12:28–30). Christ quoted (Deut. 6:4–5), thus showing that the requirement for God’s people has always been the same, and, indeed, ALWAYS WILL BE THE SAME, even into eternity.
- OBEYING: (Deut. 11:26-28) sums it up like this: “Obey and YOU WILL BE BLESSED. Disobey and YOU WILL BE CURSED.” According to Holman’s Illustrated Bible Dictionary a concise definition of biblical obedience is “HEARING GOD’S WORD AND ACTING ACCORDINGLY.” Biblical obedience to God means to HEAR, TRUST, SUBMIT AND SURRENDER TO GOD AND HIS WORD.
- LIVING: “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you PRESENT YOUR BODIES A LIVING SACRIFICE, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And DO NOT BE CONFORMED (living worldly) TO THIS WORLD, but be TRANSFORMED (metamorphoō: miraculously changed) by the RENEWING of your mind, that YOU MAY PROVE what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” (Rom. 12:1-2)
WHEN WE DO THIS WE PROVE THE PERFECT WILL OF GOD…
