“…Samuel grew, and THE LORD was with him and LET NONE OF HIS WORDS FALL TO THE GROUND.” (1 Sam. 3:19) God let none of Samuel’s words fall to the ground. That means not one of the things Samuel spoke failed. If he spoke it, it came to pass. That does not mean that every idle word Samuel spoke, God acted upon. It means that SAMUEL WAS SO IN TUNE TO GOD that HE CONTINUALLY HEARD GOD just as clearly as he did as boy in the Temple, an audible voice of God. Since Samuel heard God that clearly, Samuel spoke the words of God and as He spoke the words of God, God could move through those words to bring them to pass.
We may think of this as unusual, What? A Father speaking to His son???“For as many as are LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD, these are SONS OF GOD. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom WE CRY OUT, “ABBA, FATHER.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that WE ARE CHILDRENOFGOD, and if children, then heirs—HEIRS OF GOD AND JOINT HEIRS WITH CHRIST…”(Rom. 8:14-17) Let me tell you what Bill Stockham believes, several year ago when I started keeping a journal, as I would write the Lord would frequently interrupt me and I would write down what He spoke to me. Then I suffered a serious stroke disabling me to an “unknown” state. Most of that time I spent in Siskin Rehab Hospital. I was “gone” for almost six months, the Lord brought me back and now my daily devotions come to me FROM THE LORD because I have had to depend MORE AND MORE on Him, (which is a good thing). My belief is that the devil steals from us the ability to “hear” the Lord so we need to TAKE THAT ABILITY BACK because Jesus said,“…I have come that they may HAVE1LIFE, and that they may have it MORE 2ABUNDANTLY.” (John 10:10) 1zōē: the absolute fullness of life, which belongs to God. 2perissos: beyond what is expected, imagined, or hoped for.
WE MUST BELIEVE THAT OUR FATHER WILL SPEAK TO US…
