My dear brothers and sisters, of FaithLine: ”Jesus was withdrawn from his disciples about a stone’s throw, and knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not MY WILL, but YOURS, be done.” Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. THEN HIS SWEAT BECAME LIKE GREAT DROPS OF BLOOD FALLING DOWN TO THE GROUND. When He rose up from prayer, and had come to His disciples, He found them sleeping from sorrow. Then He said to them, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation.” (Luke 22:41-46)
Jesus Christ experienced hemarthrosis, a condition in which capillary blood vessels that feed the sweat glands rupture, causing them to exude blood, occurring under conditions of EXTREME PHYSICAL OR EMOTIONAL STRESS, while praying in the garden of Gethsemane before his crucifixion as mentioned by the Physician Luke. Leonardo Da Vinci described a soldier who sweated blood before battle. What was the extent of Christ’s stress? GOD THE FATHER HAD TO TEMPORARILY TURN HIS BACK ON GOD THE SON. “…about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?” (Matt. 27:46). Jesus words point to the fact that when Jesus died on the cross, ALL OUR SINS—without exception—were transferred to Him. JESUS WAS WITHOUT SIN BUT as He died all our sins were placed on Him, and He became the final and complete sacrifice for our sins. And in that moment JESUS, GOD THE SON WAS BANISHED FROM THE PRESENCE OF GOD THE FATHER… “Give thanks to the God of heaven. His love endures forever.” (Psa. 136:26) “For God SO LOVED the world that He gave His only begotten Son…” (John 3:16)
SIN CANNOT EXIST IN GOD’S PRESENCE…
