That is what temptation is like, we serve the Lord and want to be obedient to Him. The devil wants us to disobey the Lord so he tempts (tests) us. We experience temptation when a thought FROM THE DEVIL comes to our mind and we are aware that to act on that thought would be wrong. So, we come to a moment of decision: will I choose sin, or will I choose to overcome sin? “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but GOD IS FAITHFUL, WHO WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO BE TEMPTED BEYOND WHAT YOU ARE ABLE, but with the temptation will also make THE WAY OF ESCAPE, that you may be able to bear it.” (1 Corin. 10:13) Remember this, “Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for…he will receive the crown of life…each one is tempted when he is drawn away by HIS OWN DESIRES and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is allowed to grow, brings forth death.” (James 1:12-15)
