My awesome, Grandchildren, and Annika, Kaleigh, Kate, Gavin; whom I love and pray for every day: “…seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it…He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. In response Jesus said to it, “LET NO ONE EAT FRUIT FROM YOU EVER AGAIN.” And His disciples heard it…Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.” So Jesus answered…“Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and DOES NOT DOUBT IN HIS HEART, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” (Mark 11:13-14, 20-23) It is true, as Mark says, that “the time of the figs was not yet,” but that only meant that the normal time for figs had not yet come. This fig tree appeared to be producing ahead of schedule, giving the appearance of doing something it was not. The tree represents hypocrisy, one who gives the appearance of being something he is not. The Jewish leaders professed to have what no other people had, a relationship with God, but were in reality shallow, simple, and phony; THERE WAS PLENTY OF OUTWARD SHOW BUT NO REAL CHANGE IN THEIR LIVES. They lacked truth, righteousness, and goodwill. And though they professed a great desire for the Messiah, they rejected Christ when He came to them. HYPOCRISY WAS THEIR DOMINANT CHARACTERISTIC when it came to spiritual matters.
DO NOT BE A HYPOCRITE…
Notice: […We must understand that the bible says:] “…DOES NOT DOUBT IN HIS HEART, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” !!!] That’s for you: Stephanie, Ethan, Camden, Olivia, Aidan, Landon, Kinsley, Annika, Kaleigh, Kate, Gavin…
